Year One

Monsters aren’t real.
At least, that’s what I thought… until I found out I am one.

Well, I’m a shifter, which is the closest thing to a monster.

Now, I’m headed to Shifter Academy, the world’s most prestigious boarding school for werewolves, lion shifters, tiger shifters, fox shifters, werebears, and more.

But from my first day at the Academy, it’s clear that I don’t belong here.

For starters, I can’t shift. #FML

Then there’s the fact that no one knows what type of shifter I am.

I’m also rocking this ugly tattoo that’s supposed to identify my shifter race, but no one even understands what it means.

But I would be lying if I told you everything at Shifter Academy is bad. Rafael, Damon, Ezra, and Harden are a nice distraction.

And trust me when I say I need a distraction from the mean girls on campus and the anonymous stalker who’s trying to kill me – someone who seems to be getting closer every day.

The worst part of it all? Once we begin to figure out what type of shifter I am, I learn something else, too.

I might not even survive my first shift.

I’m destined to be Queen.

With the shifter world at war, my mates and I have stayed hidden for nearly a year.

That all changes when Shifter Academy invites us to an exclusive boot camp.

I knew going into it that there was an ulterior motive behind it. But it’s even darker than I imagined it would be. Nothing could have prepared us for the sick, twisted game that awaits us there.

But first I have to survive this hell.

Year Three

We all barely made it out of boot camp alive, but the show must go on.

This year we’ll be resuming classes at Shifter Academy, even with the war that’s happening all around us. I still have to figure out how to end the war, but that’s the least of my worries. I have other problems to deal with right now.

For starters, I’m still working on settling into my shifter race. One thing is for sure: It’s not what I expected.

I also find myself wondering who I can and can’t trust.

The answer soon becomes clear: No one but myself… and my mates. The thing is, I’m not sure if my mates can trust me.

I’m keeping a secret from them – a huge secret. With the Royal Change of Hands quickly approaching, the stakes are high. If I let the cat out of the bag, it could destroy everything.
